About the CALTECH SURF Program
The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) gives undergraduate students the opportunity to conduct original research under the guidance of faculty mentors working at the frontier of their fields. The program has no application fee and is open to students from any country.
Caltech mentors bear the full cost of the award for international participants. Awards are made based on the strength of the application and available funding. Award announcements go out on April 1, and accepted students receive email notification with instructions for accepting the offer.

Eligibility Requirements
